Storm Recovery

Updated: 10/31/25 – 2 p.m. ET

We are grateful to share that the resort team and guests who sheltered in place during Hurricane Melissa are safe. We continue to check in with all of our 800 team members.

The Half Moon team is hard at work cleaning up and restoring our resort. Below is our latest information:

SUPPORT

  • We invite you to contribute to an official fund that will benefit Half Moon team members whose homes have suffered significant damage. Please visit www.HalfMoonSpirit.com.
  • Support Jamaica – the country’s official disaster relief and recovery portal

RESORT

  • We continue to work closely with local authorities as recovery efforts progress.
  • The safety of our team, community and guests is of utmost importance to us. Because of the impact to local infrastructure, we aim to begin welcoming guests again on December 15, 2025. This is also the Jamaican government's target date to fully re-open the country's tourism sector. If we can re-open on an earlier date, we will.
  • We will share operational details as they evolve here and on our social media channels.
  • If you have an existing reservation between now and December 15, 2025, we are in the process of contacting you via e-mail or phone call regarding your options. For your flexibility, your deposit credit on file can be applied toward another stay within 12 months of your original arrival date.
  • If you have questions about an existing reservation, please e-mail [email protected]

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation, especially while power and communication channels are impacted.
