Storm Recovery
Updated: 11/4/25 – 5 p.m. ET
One week ago, the historically powerful Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica. Since then, we have been overwhelmed with support as the country, our community and our team began addressing the storm’s aftermath.
The Half Moon team is hard at work cleaning up and restoring our resort. Below is our latest information:
SUPPORT
- Our immediate focus is supporting the more than 800 team members who make up our Half Moon family, some of whom have been with us for over 50 years. Many of their homes were damaged in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, while their day-to-day lives have been impacted significantly. We have launched a relief fund to which we invite you to contribute. You can learn more at www.HalfMoonSpirit.com.

RESORT
- Throughout Melissa’s passage, our focus remained on ensuring the safety and security of every guest and service professional. The Half Moon Team that sheltered in place is safe, and their strength and spirit remind us of what truly endures: community, care, and connection.
- Our intent to is re-open on December 15, 2025. We will conduct a phased re-opening and aim to first accommodate existing reservations with a focus on welcoming guests to Eclipse at Half Moon and our recently renovated Villas at Half Moon. We are updating this page regularly and will share operational details here and on our social media channels as they evolve.
- If you are holding an existing reservation and have questions, please e-mail [email protected]. However, we will also be in touch with you in chronological sequence and do appreciate your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation, especially while power and communication channels remain affected. For your flexibility, any deposit on file can be applied for another stay until December 20, 2026. Our booking system has been updated to reflect availability for new reservations.
