More than 800 team members make up our Half Moon family, some of whom have been with us for over 50 years. Many of their homes were damaged in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, while their day-to-day lives have been impacted significantly.

Mission of Sight

To assist with the hurricane rebuilding efforts, Half Moon has partnered with Mission of Sight, a registered US and Jamaican non-profit and trusted friend with over two decades serving Jamaica and primarily helping those with impaired vision by restoring their sight.

When donating, please select “HALF MOON EMPLOYEE RELIEF” from Donation Designation to ensure funds are directed to Half Moon employees. Note, there are also other donation designation options from Mission of Sight.

Moesha, a member of Half Moon's Food & Beverage team, reflects on the destruction of Hurricane Melissa. The screeching howls of the wind, with gusts reaching more than 250 mph, became the soundtrack for Jamaicans who endured a storm that will be remembered for generations.
