Half Moon is pleased to provide a new Golf Guest Instructor Series, offering the best in golf instruction with notable golfers such as David Leadbetter, Nick Starchuck, Gary Gilchrist, and Mike Manavian, along with the return of James Ridyard.

This series will feature a variety of options for both beginners and seasoned golfers alike.

Individual Instruction

Cost: 125.00 / hour

½ Day Session

This session runs from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and is focused on the full swing utilizing Foresight Quad Launch Monitor Technology. After initial evaluation, specific drills will be worked on to correct flaws giving each player a blueprint for ongoing success. A maximum 4 people in the group ensures detailed analysis.

Cost: 295.00 / player

2 Day School

This program runs from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm over two days and focuses solely on the full swing for the first day and a short game for the second day. All aspects of the short game will be covered including pitching, chipping, bunker and putting. Maximum 4 people in the group ensures detailed analysis.

Cost: 550.00 / player

3 Day School

The three-day camp runs from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm over three days and covers full swing on the first day, a short game on the second day with the third day spent summarising and working on any problem areas. On-course instruction takes up the remainder of this time as the students are accompanied by Kevyn Cunningham over 2 or 3 holes.

If you’re interested in getting started in the game or lowering your handicap, Jamaica’s leading Golf Professional Kevyn Cunningham will share his expertise in a one-hour group instruction to assist you with achieving your goals. Kevyn Cunningham, Director of GolfKevyn Cunningham

Born in Bedford, England, Kevyn Cunningham has over 30 years of experience in the golf industry. Kevyn played successfully as an amateur before turning Professional and studying under the legendary Eddie Bullock, a former Captain of the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).

At an early stage in his career Kevyn took up the position of Head Professional at Velden Golf Club in Austria before moving to eastern Austria in 1991 as Head Professional at Bad Tatzmandorf Golf Club. It was at this time that Kevyn started his career with The David Leadbetter Golf Academies, quickly rising through the ranks to become Director of Instruction at several Academies. His time with the Leadbetter Organisation took him to Berlin, New York, Korea, Colorado, Mexico, Austria, Orlando, amongst other places.

Based in Jamaica since 1997, Kevyn headed The Leadbetter Academy at Half Moon in the late nineties before returning to the resort in August 2019 to assume the role of Director of Golf. His knowledge of the resort and understanding of Caribbean golf made this a perfect fit for both Half Moon and Kevyn as he focuses on expanding the teaching program for visitors and locals alike.
