Eclipse at Half Moon and the newly reimagined Villas at Half Moon reopened on April 2, 2026. Additional legacy accommodations at Founders Cove will reopen in a second phase later in the year.

Additional legacy accommodations at Founders Cove will reopen in a second phase later in 2026. More details will be shared as reopening timelines are confirmed.
Why did Half Moon temporarily close?
Following the passage of Hurricane Melissa in October 2025, the resort temporarily closed to allow time for restoration and renovation. Equal focus was placed on the wellbeing and recovery of more than 850 team members, many of whom were directly affected by the storm.
What is the “Welcome Back Home” offer?
To celebrate the reopening, Half Moon is offering a complimentary fourth night when guests reserve three consecutive nights at Eclipse at Half Moon. The offer also includes:
- Daily breakfast at Hayward’s
- Children five and under dine complimentary throughout the stay
- Valid for stays through December 19, 2026 • Reservations must be made by December 14, 2026 • Blackout dates may apply
What are the Villas at Half Moon?
The Villas at Half Moon are newly reimagined six- and seven-bedroom private residences. Each villa features:
- Expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces
- Private pool
- Dining cabana
- Dedicated staff, including: Personal cook, Housekeeperand Butler
What dining options will be available?
The following restaurants and bars will be open. Additional outlets will reopen as later phases are completed.

Will the spa and recreational activities be available?
Yes. The following experiences are currently available: Fern Tree, A Salamander Spa, Golf at the Robert Trent Jones Sr.– designed course, Fitness centre, Tennis courts, Watersports, Swimming lagoon, Equestrian centre, and Outdoor family-friendly activities.

Is Half Moon all-inclusive?
Half Moon is not an all-inclusive resort. However, we do offer optional meal plans for guests seeking a more inclusive dining experience during their stay.
What is the weather like in Jamaica?
Jamaica enjoys warm tropical weather year-round, with average temperatures ranging from 77°F to 88°F (25°C to 31°C). Cooling trade winds and sunny skies make Montego Bay an ideal destination in every season.
Is the water at Half Moon safe to drink?
Yes. Half Moon’s water supply meets Ministry of Health quality standards and is tested regularly.
Will bottled water be available during my stay?
Yes. Water is available throughout the resort, including accommodations, restaurants, bars, and The Commissary.
How is the Wi-Fi and cell phone reception at Half Moon?
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort. Cell phone reception is generally strong across the property, though service quality may vary depending on your carrier.
