Half Moon, Where The Heart Is
Beyond the natural beauty of our resort is the warm and welcoming embrace extended by the people of Half Moon. Our intrinsic desire to learn the idiosyncrasies of our guests makes each of their visits special.
Our story stems from hearts being captivated by the serenity, charm and allure of a delicately curved bay. Over the years, what started off as a 35-acre setting fronting a marvellous crescent-shaped bay became woven in the rich fabric of Jamaican history and culture. The property was purchased by 17 investors and developed into cottages and rooms. Inspired by the atmosphere and topography, this newly-purchased bay was named Half Moon.Learn more: About Half Moon
Half Moon attracts the ever-warm hearts of the Jamaican people who put their souls into building on the foundation of a special place that has now become synonymous with happy memories and strongly-forged relationships.
Today, three of the original founding families remain involved with our award-winning resort – the Steuart, Weiss and Pearce families. Our 800 team members combined, offer hundreds of years of service, with our longest serving team member, Wordsworth Watson, dedicating 60 years of his life to Half Moon, one of the Caribbean’s most iconic resort destinations.
