Designed to reflect the natural beauty and tranquility of the Caribbean, the new spa suites at Half Moon are a contemporary marriage of Jamaica’s diverse past with state-of-the-art custom amenities.

Rich, brown Jatoba wood floors provide a warm welcome to the suites’ spacious living, dining and spa areas. Travertine floors in expansive bathrooms reflect the tradition of Jamaican basket weaving in a fresh, modern aesthetic.

Traditional French doors allow unhindered views of the breathtaking azure sea and generous beach into private spa/fitness studios, tempting guests to throw open the doors and windows to the hypnotic serenade of the waves gliding ashore.

Spectacular views of crystal-blue skies and aquamarine seas form nature’s own artwork in oversized bedrooms where the luxury of rest has been carefully addressed. Bedrooms are outfitted with either king or two queen custom-made thera-pedic Half Moon Memories bed. The custom-made beds are further accented for comfort and elegance with hand made solid walnut and hand-tufted upholstered head boards and side rails. Bedrooms are also complimented with 32-inch flat panel televisions, custom writing desks with internet access and hand-blown glass bedside lamps.

All features of a luxurious escape have been artfully appointed throughout the suites ranging from 700 – 1000 square feet. A five piece bathroom features sensuous, chroma-therapy bubble massage tub. Separate showers are designed to imitate nature with rain shower heads and added therapeutic body jets. Dual sinks sit atop granite counter tops with grooming/make-up vanity. A private water closet, bath and body apothecary baskets, oversized towels, 3 individual vanity mirrors and plush spa bathrobes complete the amenities of this state-of-the-art en suite.

Dedicated spa treatment areas convert to a private spa studio or fitness studio, all offering views of the Caribbean Sea. Treatment tables are easily accessible for a private spa experience and meditation/yoga mats are provided for morning sun salutations. Fitness accessories are easily made available upon request.

Custom-designed media centres with 42-inch flat panel televisions in living rooms, healthy mini-bars stocked to guests’ preference, custom hand-blown glass fixtures and locally crafted dining tables are just some of the features that complete the living and dining rooms.

Private covered terraces and patios with lounge and/or dining furnishings overlooking the sea that is no more than 20 feet away complete this tropical escape.

Facts About Spa Suites

  • Jatoba wood floors -- a traditional Jamaican wood and an anchor to the spa suite’s design
  • Chroma therapy bubble jet tub – Tub emits various colours in keeping with the belief that colour therapy provides healing through the eyes. Each colour addresses a different aspect related to the colours of the Chakra – the heart of the metaphysical and/or biophysical energy in the body, such as harmony, balance, etc.
  • Travertine Floor – The travertine stone floor is presented in a basket weave pattern and forms an anchor in the suite’s design. The floor’s design represents Jamaica’s basket weaving tradition presented in a modern sensibility.
  • There are several custom pieces of furniture in each suite. The dining room chandeliers are a modern homage to Jamaican fishermen. Sofas are upholstered with a terry cloth-like fabric reminiscent of plush spa robes. The dining tables are handmade by local artisans and demonstrate Jamaican’s renowned furniture-making craftsmanship. The arrival tables in the suites are a custom three-piece creation that when put together form a group of “trees” a salute to the verdant hillsides of the island. Artwork are either exclusively commissioned or selected from collections of local artists.
